I Took the Challenge

Pat Sloan posted a UFO Busting Challenge today.  Choose one UFO and work on it for at least 10 minutes and then post a photo on her website.

Un-quilted Table Runner

Well I decided since this was supposed to be a rainy Monday – it would be a good way to spend the day.  As it happened, it only sprinkled for a short time this morning but that gave me enough incentive to work on this quilt.

The top for my Tumbling Leaves table runner has been completed and sandwiched for some time now – Just begging to be quilted.  My good friend Mae gave me the kit because she knows how much I like autumn colors.

Of course this project took more than 10 minutes – but once I got in the groove – I just couldn’t stop until it was finished.

First step was to make the practice sandwich:

Then on to actually quilting the top:

I was off and running.  An hour or so later it was finished!

Sometimes the hardest thing to do – is to start a project.  Now all I need  is an incentive to finish the binding!

There is always time to quilt!
