The internet has changed every aspect of our daily lives. From answers to our most basic and technical questions to cooking and everything in-between. Quilting certainly is a topic that ranks in the top percentile of Internet search terms. A Google search for ‘quilting’ returned about 64,100,000 results in 0.28 seconds.) Amazing!
Even more amazing is the amount of information that is available on unique topics from quilting patterns to supplies and just plain quilting fun. Recently I received an email from Fons and Porter with a link to an article that could have been written by anyone of our husbands especially mine. Most of the remarks were ‘tongue and cheek. I’ll let you decide for yourself if any of the remarks hit home. Check out Laments from a Quilter’s Husband. I’d really like to hear your thoughts.
The subtitle of the article really hit home with me …. ‘There will be pins….” Last fall I found a pin that had been dropped and logged in the rug in my family room. Unfortunately it just didn’t prick my toe, it went straight into the toe and broke off. I found the partial needle on the floor. It meant a trip to Urgent Care the next morning to remove it. The worst part was that it meant I had to delay my annual quilting trip. Luckily that was the worst of it. I had to prop the leg all weekend. Oh Darn! It was a good excuse to stay at the Homestead and sew. There is always time to quilt!
