Quilts for Kids

I was asked  to make a quilts for ‘Quilts for Kids’ today.  The organization is instrumental into facilitating the making of quilts to ‘..comfort children with life-threatening illnesses and children of abuse.‘     Kits are provided with everything  (including the label) with the exception of batting.

Precut fabric strips, blocks and backing included in each kit.

I was able to put the top together in less than an  hour and a half.  (This even included a bit of un-sewing.)

Strips are sewn together and cut into two-patch units for four patches

There are numerous letters on the Quilts for Kids website from people who have received these quilts for their children.

It’s such a little thing – but means so much for those who are going through very difficult times.

There is always time to quilt!
